If we are asking, what kind of a scientific discipline can help us, to transform our
phenomenological based experience, which is not restricted to the empirical ones, into some valuable scientific theory, then philosophy
of science can tell us, that experimental psychology
which includes introspection
could be the basic discipline for this task. With psychology we could try to describe D-PHEN as a whole as well
as all the important general sub-classes of D-PHEN, their general qualities and the
relationships which are valid between them.
A formal psychological theory
would describe the classes of all the
general phenomena, the specific qualities of these classes, their relationships,
and probably some laws which are valid in that domain.
A computer model of such a theory could use its data structures
and the possible operations about data structures to mimic the theory. Object classes
and their qualities can be represented by data structures and typical operations;
relations between object classes and some laws can represented by operations on datastructures
as well.
