This installation combines two kinds of objects. On the one hand the video "Rosa Binaria" broadcasted on six screens and on the other hand the 36 showcases contained the objects and materials used for the realisation of the video. These relics were kept to bear witness to the relationship between immaterial and material.

"That which removes itself from the original object via the different stages of transformation shown in the video, resulting in pure simulation, is retreived through the collected relics and thus made tangible." (Nicole Nix)

The showcases, that have several layers of thinly coated acrylic, appear to be shrines preserving passed life. On the inside these objects are fixed in a polyester-paste as if they were frozen to the upper surface of a river. A monitor is positioned adjacent to each showcase-group of six, either on the table, an extinguished heater, next to an armchair or on a shelf. A videoplayer is connected to each of these screens. The furniture is used as the interior of an appartment to stress the normality of the occasion. The element television is not an installed object but a household appliance.

The video crosses several forms of presentation and reproduction up to writing via computer generated metamorphosis, beginning with the image of the rose in its natural surrounding. "Up to this stage the metamorphosis can be found in the showcases. Each of these handcrafted cases stores a real rose, artificial rose-objects, photographs, scetches and appropriate test fragments of varying origin, as well as a copy of the written word. The process only continues in the video as from this point on, the representation is no longer possible by real means"(Nicole Nix).
