The second piece of work that stems from
this project foresees the realisation of a video sculpture with a spiral
shaped basic plan modelled from the groundstructure of the order of leaves
of a rosebud.
The walls of the videos culpture are
made of zinced sheetmetal that are fastened together by a structure of
steel supports fixed to the ground. The walls of the spiral within the
cell decrease in size towards the centre, in which they are approximately
50 cm high. A video projector connected to a video player is placed on
the floor in the centre of the spiral with the light source directed upward.
Rotating pictures of the video "Rosa Binaria" are continuosly projected
onto the ceiling. Due to its shape, the construction surrounds the entering
visitor who makes his way into its inner space and forces him to move the
entire body in a rotating movement and spirals haped path. Through this
he is lured into a virtual journey within the video and experineces a world
of the cartesian space.
